LASEMD ULTRA

ABOUT LASEMD

LaseMD Ultra (also referred to as Lutronic ULTRA) treatments target uneven, dull, and hyperpigmented skin. This procedure works to resurface your skin by stimulating collagen and elastin production, resulting in skin that looks rejuvenated and balanced.

HOW IT WORKS

LaseMD Ultra treatments use a non-ablative fractional laser with a special serum to create tiny, controlled micro-injuries to the outer layer of your skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the healing process in your body. Throughout this process, your body produces collagen and elastin in the target areas, encouraging skin regeneration.

LaseMD Ultra can help treat:

  • Age spots and sun spots

  • Melasma

  • Freckles

  • Wrinkles

  • Acne scars

  • Dull complexion

  • Enlarged pores

  • Actinic keratoses

  • And more

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your clinician will apply a topical numbing cream to your skin around twenty minutes before your treatment to make the process as comfortable as possible.

Once your skin is numbed, your provider will apply a special serum targeted to increase the efficacy of the treatment. This serum contains ingredients that are meant to hydrate and nourish the skin. Then, your provider will pass the laser device over the target area. This process is painless. Some patients may feel tingling or warmth as the device passes over the area, but these sensations should be well tolerated.

One of the great things about LaseMD Ultra is that it can be customized to treat a spectrum of issues from mild to severe. So, the length of the process will depend on the size of the area being treated and the intensity of the treatment. Typically, most patients are in and out of the office in about 90 minutes.

After your treatment, you can return to work or school and resume normal daily activities. However, it is recommended that you do not apply makeup or Vitamin C serums until 24 hours after your treatment. You may notice redness or swelling for 1-3 days, which is completely normal. Applying a cold compress for five minutes at a time for the first couple of hours after the procedure can help reduce the swelling.

You should complete a minimum of 3 treatments to see the most benefits. Your next treatment will be scheduled for 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment.
